Supporting Native Plants
Here at English Hill Organics, we pride ourselves on setting aside areas to allow the natural environment to thrive, not cutting back every acre for agriculture. We encourage and protect native species to inhabiting the farm.
The ranch is located in West Sonoma County, with a coastal climate. We often get afternoon fogs and breezes blowing in from Bodega Bay. The rolling hills are covered with beautiful native ground cover like Coyote Bush, Toyon, Coffeeberry, Yarrow, California Fuchsia, and California Poppy.
Stewardship Forest
In 1992, we created a Forest Stewardship plan under the guidance of the United States Forest Service, planting over 9,000 trees and creating nearly 30 acres of revegetated grazing lands where local wildlife can flourish.
We have a wide variety of native trees including Redwoods, Douglas Firs, Incense Cedars, Monterrey Cypress, Oaks, and Pines planted as a part of our Forest Stewardship.
Benefits of Organic Food
Healthier for You
Organic foods contain higher amounts of vital nutrients and minerals, and reduce exposure to carcinogenic compounds found in synthetic pesticides and fertilizer.

Healthier for the Environment
Organic agriculture reduces toxic runoff caused by the use of toxic chemical pesticides and fertilizers, protecting our air and waterways. Non-organic agriculture uses excess minerals like nitrogen and phosphorus which the soil is not designed to hold and end up being washed away by the rain.

Healthier for the Farmers
Not only do pesticides and fertilizers make their way to your table, but the workers growing and harvesting the produce experience many times the exposure and risk of the consumer.
