Bloom Well Nature Experiences

Join us for a selection of hand crafted experiences in the beautiful Sonoma County countryside

Guided Hikes • Native Plant Walks • Garden Immersion • Birdwatching

Set high above West Sonoma County, at the top of Burnside Road near the coast, Burnside offers a rare convergence of ecosystems—coastal influence, oak woodland, meadow, and riparian corridors—all within 130 acres of protected land.

This is a place where fog meets sun, where native plants thrive, and where the land invites both exploration and stillness.

We offer guided experiences designed to reconnect people to landscape, rhythm, and ecological awareness.

Trail One: Oak Woodland Descent & Estero Creek Overlook

Wind your way through stands of native oaks as the trail gently descends into a sheltered valley. As you move through shifting light and canopy, the ecosystem transitions—oak woodland giving way to riparian edges near Estero Creek.

The trail opens to a breathtaking lookout point with a full 180° panoramic view.

From here, the landscape unfolds:

  • The Mayacamas Mountains stretch across the horizon

  • Peaks like Mount St. Helena to the north

  • And Mount Taylor to the south

This vantage point captures the dramatic contrast between Sonoma’s rolling hills and rugged mountain ridges.

Trail Two: Cypress Circle Meditation Walk

A quiet, contemplative path through a circle of cypress trees shaped by coastal wind and fog.

This trail is designed for:

  • Silent walking meditation

  • Mindfulness practices

  • Breath and grounding experiences

The natural acoustics and wind movement through the trees create a deeply calming sensory environment.

Experience options:

  • Guided meditation walks

  • Sound and silence immersion

  • Small group reflection sessions

Garden Walks & Hands-On Learning

Led by a Master Gardener, these experiences blend education with embodiment.

Participants can:

  • Learn about native plant systems and soil health

  • Explore pollinator-friendly planting

  • Understand beneficial biomes and human health connections

  • Get their hands in the soil through guided planting

Birdwatching Hikes at the Ranch

Hidden in the rolling hills of West Sonoma County, our ranch offers a peaceful and remarkably diverse habitat for birds and wildlife. Our 130 wooded acres include a large pond, open meadows, forest edges, and the headwaters of the Estero Americano — creating an ideal environment for birdwatching throughout the year.

Trails wind gently through stands of native oaks, with more advanced hikes descending into diverse crevices and rising to sweeping 180-degree lookout points. The landscape reveals itself in layers — from shaded woodland paths to expansive views that stretch across Sonoma County.

For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the property also offers easy walking paths around the pond, as well as accessible routes through native plantings. From these vantage points, visitors can take in wide, open views spanning from Mount Saint Helena to Mount Taylor.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet stroll beneath the canopy or a more immersive hike through varied terrain, the landscape invites exploration at every level.

Guests may spot:

  • Great Egrets and Snowy Egrets gliding through the wetlands

  • Wild geese and seasonal migratory ducks

  • Red-tailed Hawks circling overhead

  • Woodpeckers, swallows, bluebirds, wrens, and songbirds

  • Herons along the water’s edge
